Temenos Video Production

On Friday 17 November 2023 the University of Oxford’s Radcliffe Humanities Team welcomed 2,200 people to an amazing Son et Lumiere night at the old Radcliffe Infirmary site, as part of the Oxford Light Festival. Oxfordshire Health Archives collaborated in this project.

Temenos tells the human story of the Radcliffe Infirmary site’s Neolithic beginnings, through to it’s time as a hospital, and then incarnation as the new Schwarzman Centre for the Humanities.

Oxfordshire Health Archives (OHA) brings together a medical based archive under the Public Records Act (1958). The archives in our care include those of Oxfordshire hospitals (both pre and post the National Health Service) and associated administrative bodies, Leagues of Friends and Nurses’ Alumni organisations.

The archive operates as a public service for users and National Health Service employees. For those who are unable to visit us in person, a copying service is provided. This can incur a charge.

The Oxfordshire Health Archives (OHA) aims to continue and develop in it’s mission to select, manage, preserve and make accessible archival material in accordance with best professional practice.
